Rhonda Jellison's Obituary
Rhonda L. Jellison, 54, of Seymour passed away Thursday, May 24, 2018 at her home. Rhonda was born to Wilbur & Margaret (Warren) Sowder on February 12, 1964 in Leon, Iowa. She received her education from Wayne Community schools, graduating in 1982. On June 24, 1983, Rhonda was united in marriage to Donald D. Jellison and this union was blessed with two children: Joel and Travis. There was nothing more important in Rhonda's life than her family and taking care of Donnie. Together, she and Donnie built a warm and loving home that welcomed foot traffic from a multitude of people, family and friends alike, throughout the years. She was always ready to greet each one with a cup of coffee and a smile. Time with her grandkids, from watching them play outdoors to devising Halloween costumes for each, was always time well spent to her. Survivors include her husband, Donnie, children: Joel Jellison (Shelby), Travis Jellison (Shelby), six grandchildren: Mendon, Gage, Grayson, Zane, Holdyn and Sutton; brother, Craig Sowder (Candra), nephews, Curtis Sowder (Amy) and Jeremy Vaughn, nieces, Catherine Kastens (Brian), Caryn Sowder and Courtney Sowder and a motley crew of in laws too numerous to list. Rhonda was preceded in death by her parents, sister Pam Vaughn and a niece, Jessica Vaughn. Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at Thomas funeral Home in Seymour. Interment will be immediately following at Shriver Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, May 28, 2018 from 5 - 7pm at Thomas Funeral Home in Seymour.
