Rex Dean Tipton's Obituary
Rex Dean Tipton, 87, of Moulton, Iowa passed away on March 16, 2022, at Davis County Hospital.
Rex was born to Loy and Cecile (Higdon) Tipton on August 24, 1934 in Moulton, Iowa. He attended Moulton-Udell High School, graduating in 1952. Rex was united in marriage to Kay Andrews in 1963.
Rex worked as a conductor on the Wabash-Norfolk-Southern Railroad for 31 years. Rex loved doing yard work, gardening, cooking, and watching baseball. Rex enjoyed listening to country music and doing puzzles. He was a fan of the Chicago Cubs.
Left to cherish Rex's memory are his daughters: Robin Parres (Scott) and Becky Guler (Tim), 7 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren, siblings: Max Tipton (Kathy), Patty Edwards, Garnett Landtiser, Helen Harrington and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Rex was preceded in death by his wife: Kay Tipton, his son: Jeff Waybill, grandson: Jesse Guler, and siblings: Fern Morrison, Pauline Bailey, Ruth Hedberg, Hazel Belloma, Loy Tipton Jr, Lola Hinnerman and Enid Moulton.
The funeral service for Rex will take place at Thomas Funeral Home on Friday, March 25, 2022 at 11:00 AM. The visitation will take place an hour prior, at 10:00 AM.
