Reva Crooks' Obituary
Reva Crooks, 91, of Corydon, went to be with her Lord on June 24, 2019 at Corydon Specialty Care. Reva May Dixon was born in Corydon on September 21, 1927 to Ray and Elva (Allison) Dixon. After graduating from Allerton High School in 1944, Reva went on to complete her teacher's certification at Simpson College. On February 14, 1950 she married Francis Crooks in Missouri and to this union, five children were born. Reva was a devoted wife and mother who could often be found helping out her husband on the family's dairy farm. Reva also worked at the milk plant in Allerton for five years and at Peggy's Caf. She sold Avon products and Beeline fashions for quite some time as well. In her spare time, Reva enjoyed gardening and digging in the dirt, she especially loved her flowers. She enjoyed reading a good book, collecting deer figurines, socializing with the local ladies and spending time with her family. Survivors include her children: Pat Tuttle, Doug Crooks (Debby), Pam Widme (Dave) and Don Crooks; grandchildren: Doug Tuttle (Cheri Jo), Dee Stogdill, Lisa Slauson (Mark), Kim Rickets and Jeni Lindley (Jeff); great grandchildren: Zachary Tuttle, Quentin Tuttle, Dustin Stogdill (Megan), Jessi Boone (Quincy), Kyla Slauson, Tyler Rickets, Clayton Rickets, Owen Lindley, Hannah Lindley, Reannon Crooks and Jillian Crooks; great - great grandchildren: Kaden Boone, Xander Boone, and Rowan Boone. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Francis in 1998; daughter, Phyllis Irene Kelly; grandson, David Crooks; great granddaughter, Erica Stogdill and four son-in-laws: Kenneth Tuttle, John Widme, Darrel Kelly and Danny Benda. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 1, 2019 at Thomas Funeral Home in Corydon. Interment will immediately follow at Shriver Cemetery. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the funeral.
