Reatha ""Madge"" Montegna, age 89 of Centerville, Iowa died Sunday, September 19, 2010 at Golden Age Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation in Centerville, Iowa.
Madge was born April 15, 1921 in Centerville, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Carlo Montegna on December 4, 1963 in Chariton, Iowa. Madge worked for McKee Button Factory on the Centerville Levee, and later for Golden Age Nursing & Rehabilitation, where she would retire.
Madge is survived by her stepson, Charles (Marie) Montegna of Centerville, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlo Montegna; sisters, Buelah Montegna and Helen Simmons, and; Opal Whalen and Edna Whalen.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, 10:30AM, September 23, 2010 at the Lange Funeral Home in Centerville with Father Dennis Schaab officiating. Friends may call the funeral home Wednesday from noon until 8pm with the family present from 6-8PM. Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery, Centerville. A memorial has been established to St. Mary's Catholic Church, Centerville and may be left at the Lange Funeral Home. Condolences may be left at www.langefh.com
