Raymond Roy Russom, 98, of Centerville died Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2004 at the Centerville Nursing & Rehab Center.He was born May 30, 1906 in Whitesboro, Texas, the son of John and Lelia (Leslie) Russom. He received his education in Whitesboro and Memphis, Texas.He married Elsie Eoff on Nov. 12, 1932 in Clarendon, Texas. She survives.Also surviving are a daughter, Patsy Cincotta of Centerville; a daughter-in-law, Marge Bartellini and her husband, Lou, of Novato, Calif.; four grandchildren, Kevin, Jeri, Leslie and Amy; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Paul Russom of Bakersfield, Calif.; two sisters, Irene Byrom of Long Beach, Calif., and Wilma Probst of Rathdum, Idaho; and several nieces and nephews.Preceding him in death were his son, Jerry; a sister, Winnie McCall; and a brother, John Russom.Ray farmed and worked in construction in Texas, then moved his family to California in 1942 where he worked for 32 years at Douglas Aircraft Company (now Boeing). He moved to Moulton in 1992, then to Centerville in 2000. He was a member of the Moulton United Methodist Church.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 21, at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Moulton. There will be no visitation.
