Raymond Richard Ruark's Obituary
Raymond Richard Ruark, 77 of Centerville passed away, Monday, February 26, 2024 at his home.
Raymond was born to Sabert & Fern (Roberts) Ruark on June 12, 1946 in Seymour, Iowa, where he would join two brothers and six sisters. Raymond received his education from Centerville High School. After high school, Raymond enlisted in the United States Army Corp where he served two tours. He was honorably discharged on March 23, 1971.
Raymond met the love of his life in 1975, Linda Kaster. After 18 years, the two married on May 14, 1993. To this union were four children, Sherry, Kenny, Stacy and Tasha.
Raymond worked at the County Engineer's in Appanoose County for 33 years until his retirement.
In his spare time, Raymond enjoyed his trips to the casino, playing cards and watching his grandkids sporting events.
Left to honor Raymond's memory are his wife, Linda; children, Sherry Mihalovich (David), Stacy Lawson (Tracy), Tasha Henderson (Robert); grandchildren, Samantha Mihalovich, Dalton Lawson (Jenna), Kenny Lawson, Hunter, Dayton, Khloe and Addy Henderson; as well as two great grandchildren, Case & Oaklen Lawson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Kenny; and his step father, Fred "Ted" Green.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, February 29, 2024 at Thomas Funeral Home in Centerville. Interment will immediately follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Cincinnati. Visitation will take place, Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at Thomas Funeral Home with family present from 5:00 - 7:00 pm.
