Rayma May Wyatt's Obituary
Rayma May Wyatt, age 78 of Centerville, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2026 at MercyOne Centerville Hospital surrounded by her loving husband and family.
Rayma was born on July 10, 1947 in Centerville, Iowa to Lois (McCloud) and Robert Harrington, the second of four children. She helped raise her younger siblings for the greater portion of her younger years. On December 12, 1964 Rayma married the love of her life, Ozia Wyatt, and together they spent 61 blissful years before her passing. They loved and raised two children, Richard and Tina, which then turned into a multitude of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Throughout life Rayma worked at McGraw Edison before moving to Nealy’s, where she showcased her great seamstress skills, and finally Wal-Mart, where she met a great group of friends. Rayma and her Walmart friends would gather for dinner often to visit with each other. Rayma loved going out to eat. She would travel far and wide with Ozia by her side, they enjoyed several trips to Branson together, and many other parts of the United States. Going to auctions and finding antiques was another favorite of Rayma’s, she found beauty in her treasures.
Rayma is survived by her husband, Ozia; children, Richard Wyatt and Tina (Todd) Jewett; grandchildren, Matthew Wyatt (Brooke), Heather (Rusty) Admire, Christopher Wyatt, Chandler Wyatt (Hallie), Blake Wyatt (Delaney), Tyler Spencer, Makenzie (Chase) Exline, Taylor Spencer (Katie), Tayler Jewett (Matt), Kegan Ewoldt(Jordyn), and Nicholas Jewett; great grandchildren, Colton, Lilly, Shaddixx, Nyle, and Sutton; sisters-in-law, Barb (Rex) Varney, Evelyn Dorsey; brothers-in-law, Gary Dorsey and Jim (Melvina) Dorsey; along with other nieces, nephews, numerous extended family members, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Wyatt Ewoldt; Sister, Sharon Pate; Brothers, Billy Harrington and Bobby Harrington; and brothers-in-law Roy Dorsey and Dale Dorsey.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at 1:00PM at Thomas Funeral Home in Centerville, Iowa with Pastor Brian Hargrave officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, from 11:00AM-1:00PM at Thomas Funeral Home in Centerville, Iowa.
