Rayden Herbert-Ray Williams' Obituary
Rayden Herbert-Ray Williams passed away on July 5th, 2025. Rayden was born on October 13th, 2007 in Centerville, IA, the son of Chad Williams and Liberty Griffin. Rayden started mowing lawns and farming at the age of 15 with his friend Shiloh Tipton. Rayden and his sisters moved in with his Grandpa and Grandma Williams when he was 6 months old. Rayden dreamed of one day being a farmer and truck driver. Rayden loved hanging out with his brother, Kenneth Lewis and friends, Shiloh Tipton, Riley Bunnell, and Henry Sivetts. Together they enjoyed riding around town, playing video games, hunting and fishing.
Rayden also spent a lot of his time riding in the semi with his grandpa "Bud" and cousins, Jackie, Montana, and Briar Valentine. Rayden was a charismatic character with a great sense of fashion; he took pride in dressing up and loved his various hats, jewelry, sunglasses, and boots. He also loved FSU, grilling and shooting guns with his dad, and playing cornhole with his family and friends. Rayden accepted the Lord as his Savior at the age of 5 and re-devoted his life to Christ at the age of 15.
Rayden is survived by his siblings; Alexis Brown and husband Jakob, Shelby Williams, Madison Lewis, and Kenneth Lewis and wife Maci. Also surviving are grandparents, Gordon "Bud" and Jeannine Williams; uncle, Codie Williams and wife Beth; aunt, Leigha Whipple and husband Bob; nieces and nephews, Lakelynn, Rylan, Everhett, and Rylei; cousins, Katie, Gage, Max, Cameron, Kaylynn, and Corbin; and other relatives and friends who loved and cherished Rayden.
In addition to his father, Rayden was preceded in death by a brother, Julian Williams; grandmother, Paula Griffin; great grandparents, Joe and Fern Valentine, Junior and Jean Williams, and Paul and Betty Cridlebaugh. Rayden was also preceded by uncles, aunts, and cousins.
Memorials in Rayden's honor may be made payable to the family and entrusted to the Thomas Funeral Home, 709 S. 27th St., Unionville, MO 63565.
