Ray Hoover's Obituary
Ray Hoover, age 92, of Centerville, Iowa, died Friday, November 10, 2006, at Mercy Medical Center in Centerville. He was born the son of Jesse Albert and Mary Alice (Hall) Hoover on March 7, 1914 in Centerville, Iowa. He graduated from the Centerville Community Schools in 1932 and later graduated from Centerville Junior College in 1934.On May 29, 1938, Ray was united in marriage to Glenice Naomi Horn in Centerville. He farmed all his life south west of Centerville in Bellair and Pleasant Townships. He was a member of the Farm Bureau, and a member of Drake Avenue Christian Church in Centerville.He was preceded in death by: his parents; wife, Glenice Hoover on September 18, 1995; infant son, Roger Lee Hoover; brothers, Neal and Robert Hoover.He is survived by: his daughter, Jean Clark and her husband, Don of Centerville, Iowa; grandchildren, Donna Cox and her husband, Nyle and Robert R. Clark all of Centerville, Iowa; great grandchildren, David Cox and his wife, Nolanne of Oskaloosa, Iowa, Ben Ritter and his wife, Kristy, Mitzi Stice and her husband, Tom and Shannon Wells and her husband, John all of Centerville, Iowa; great great grandchildren, Shelbi Ritter, Jesse Wells and Chad Stice all of Centerville, Iowa; Foster grandchildren, Bailee, Maddison, Hunter and Britian all of Centerville, Iowa; special friend, Bea Hoover of Centerville, Iowa.Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 16, 2006 at 11 AM at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville with Rev. Carl Heien Officiating. Burial will follow at the Oakland Cemetery in Centerville. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 15, 2006 from 1 pm till 8 pm at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville with the family present from 6 pm till 8 pm.
