Ray Hogg's Obituary
Ray Hogg, 67, of Centerville passed away, Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at his home. Ray was born to Howard & Clella (Landon) Hogg in Leon, Iowa on September 23, 1948. He received his education from Centerville High School, graduating in 1966. After high school, Ray advanced his education at Lincoln Tech College, graduating in 1967. Ray was employed over 2 decades at Young Radiator in Centerville. For the last 15 years, Ray was employed at Barker/Hill-Phoenix in Centerville. Ray was a quiet man by nature. He often keep his opinions to himself. He was fascinated with cars and the motor that made them move. He enjoyed drag racing, talking about cars, working on cars and attending car shows. He also enjoyed junking and spending time with his family. Survivors include two children: Brett Hogg of Centerville, Bart Hogg of Centerville, grandson, Brandon Kent of Burlington, sisters: Bonnie Blevins (Waymon) of St. Peters, Missouri, Virginia Beck of Lakeland, Florida, Connie Cochran (Dennis) of Plano and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Graveside service will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Crossroads Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home in Centerville. Memorials may be given to the family and condolences may be shared at www.thomasfh.com.
