Randy Lynn Mason's Obituary
Randy Mason, 67 of Moulton, Iowa passed away, Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City surrounded by his family.
Randy was born on January 4, 1955 in Chillicothe, Missouri to Harold & Doris (Miles) Mason. He received his education from Moulton-Udell High School, graduating in 1974. He furthered his education and received his A.A.S from Indian Hills Community College. On June 3, 1977, Randy was united in marriage to the love of his life, Vickie Horn.
Randy enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandkids, drinking Mt. Dew, tinkering on vehicles, hunting, and traveling. He was a skilled mechanic his entire life, most recently worked at Alliant Energy from where he retired in February 2021.
Survivors include his wife, Vickie, children: Tiffany Quimby (Josh), Zach Mason (Joie), Jonathon Mason (Rose), grandchildren: Elise & Jameson Quimby, Zachary, Caselynn, Eden & Astrid Mason, siblings: Ricky Mason (Debra), Robby Mason (Evelyn), Carman Mason, and sister-in-law, Denise Mason, along with his mother-in-law, Fern Horn and numerous extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Russell Mason, and father-in-law, David "LaVerne" Horn.
The funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m., Monday, July 11, 2022 at Fairview Church of the Brethren in Unionville, Iowa. Interment will follow immediately after at Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will take place Sunday from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home in Centerville. Memorials may be given to Holt International Adoption Agency or Fairview Church of the Brethren.
