Phyllis was a wonderful neighbor and a dear woman. I have fond memories of talking with her and playing with her dog, Mallory, who would often visit our house. Our thoughts go out to her family.

I remember as a little girl going to her house and playing with her kids .Plus baking cookies and all we ever did was eat.Phyllis and mom drinking coffee and talk talk talk,she was my moms best freind.
Phyllis was my best freind since I was 18 years old.Our kids played together .She was a dear lady,we will miss her deaply.
It has been such a pleasure connecting with Phyllis through Facebook. I enjoyed our correspondence and she always sent me so much information about the family. My Dad, Jim Harbert, always called her his favorite cousin. She added so much depth to my knowledge of the Hamlin, Beary and Harbert families. Although I never met Phyllis in person, I remember well her mother, Barbara, who would visit my grandmother, Zora Beary Harbert, in Last Chance, Colorado. I also remember her grandfather and my great grandfather, Ace Beary. My sympathy to all of you for the loss of your mother and grandmother. I could tell that she was a very special person.
She is one of my favorite persons and aunt. She opened her heart and home to my sister and I to visit from California during our summer vacations. I always enjoyed my summers here with the Abel's and that is why I decided to may Iowa my home. She always had a kind word and made any criticism was always delivered with love.
