Peggy Coady's Obituary
Peggy Coady, age 69, of Centerville, Iowa, died Friday, December 15, 2006 at her home in Centerville. She was born the daughter of Pearl 'Peachy' and Murl (Bankson) Lee on October 3, 1937 in Brazil, Iowa. She received her education at Mystic, Centerville and Davenport, Iowa.On May 5, 1956, Peggy was united in marriage to Joe Coady in Centerville, Iowa. She was the Head Housekeeper for the Exel Inn in Davenport, Iowa for over 19 years. Peggy attended the Community Church in Mystic, Iowa.She was preceded in death by: her father, Pearl Crowder; brother, Jerry Crowder; sister, Sherry VanderEcken; grandchildren, Jeffery Coady, Joey Coady and Logan Coady; son-in-law, David Dawson; sister-in-law, Loretta Crower.Peggy is survived by: her husband, Joe Coady of Centerville, Iowa; sons, Joe Coady, Jr. and his wife, BillieJo of Vinton, Iowa, Mike Coady of Des Moines, Iowa, Dave Coady and his wife, Ginger of Davenport, Iowa, Danny Coady of Centerville, Iowa and Matt Coady of Unionville, Missouri; daughter, Penny Dawson of Altoona, Iowa and Sheila Rod of Centerville, Iowa; brother, Larry Peek of Unionville, Missouri; sisters, Carol Agan, Dixie Agan and Diona Crowder all of Centerville, Iowa and Sandy Stankee of Hendersonville, Tennessee; Twenty-Three grandchildren and Eight great grandchildren; also a very special family friend, Tina Miller of Altoona, Iowa.Graveside Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 18, 2006 at 10 am at the Haines Cemetery north of Centerville, Iowa with Jim Altmeyer officiating. Burial will follow in the cemetery.
