Pauline J. Todey's Obituary
Pauline J. (Laws) Todey, age 86, of Centerville, Iowa, died Sunday, February 13, 2005, at Centerville Nursing & Rehab Center in Centerville, Iowa. She was born the daughter of the late William 'Bill' Laws and the late Arminta (Whicker) Laws on July 26, 1918 in Moravia, Iowa. After Arminta's death, her father married Lola Marie Foster, who along with Pauline's grandmother, Sarah Whicker, helped raise Pauline in the Moravia, Iowa area. Pauline graduated from Moravia High School in 1936.On October 8, 1938, she was united in marriage to Richard Harp in Princeton, Missouri. He died in 1946. On August 16, 1952, she married Laddie Todey in Mystic, Iowa. He died on October 2, 1996.Pauline was self-employed as a hairdresser and was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church at Rathbun, Iowa, where she played the organ. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Centerville, Iowa.Pauline was preceded in death by: her parents; first husband Richard Harp in 1946 and second husband Laddie Todey in 1996; and a daughter in infancy.She is survived by: sons Richard Harp and his wife, Maggie, of Ottumwa, Iowa; Charles Harp and his wife, Virginia, of Moravia, Iowa; Mark Todey of Rathbun, Iowa; Paul Todey and his wife, Olena, of Joplin, Missouri; Joe Todey and his wife, Donna, of Rathbun, Iowa; stepson Raymond Todey and his wife, Jean, of Ottumwa, Iowa; daughter Jane Todey and her husband, Jeff Knutson, of Jewell, Iowa; stepdaughter Theresa Kopatich and her husband, John, of Davenport, Iowa; stepsister Garnett Johnson of Ottumwa, Iowa; 18 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Wednesday, February 16, 2005 at 11:30 A.M. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Centerville, Iowa with Father Ron Will officiating. Burial will follow at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Moravia, Iowa. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 15, 2005 from 1:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M. at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville, Iowa.
