Pauline R. Pasa's Obituary
Pauline Pasa, age 81 of Centerville, Iowa died Saturday, May 8, 2010 at Mercy Medical Center, Des Moines, Iowa.
Pauline was born on September 18, 1928 in Hartford, Missouri, the daughter of Forest and Armeda (Mullenix) Smith. She married Joseph Pasa on May 28, 1949 at the St. Mary's Catholic Church Rectory in Centerville, Iowa. He preceded her in death on December 20, 2008.
Pauline was devoted to her family throughout her lifetime. She loved spending time with her family members. Family and friends remember Pauline as being a ""strong willed"" person.
In her free time Pauline enjoyed numerous activities. She loved watching the Food Channel. Pauline also enjoyed listening to music, especially country and western. Throughout her life she always maintained an understanding of the current news and events affecting the world.
Pauline is survived by her five children, Cheryl Pasa and her husband Larry Villines of San Antonio, Texas, Joseph Jr. (Linda Sue) Pasa of Norwalk, Iowa, Dan (Robyn) Pasa of Kirksville, Missouri, John (Kathy) Pasa of Centerville, Iowa, and Tim (Barb) Pasa of Centerville, Iowa; thirteen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; a sister-in-law Mary Ashby of Centerville, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Joe Pasa; two sisters, Patsy Garlock and Maxine Knowles; and a grandson Luca John Pasa.
A private family funeral and interment will be held. There will be no public viewing. A memorial has been established to Hospice of Central Iowa and may be left at Lange Funeral Home in Centerville. Condolences may be left online at www.langefh.com.
