Paula Barnthouse Obituary's Obituary
Paula Barnthouse, 78 of Rock Island formerly of Exline passed away Saturday, March 15th at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf. Paula was born December 11, 1929 in Mankota, Minnesota to Bill & Helen (Huntley) Krueger. She received her education from Mankota Schools. Paula married Jack Barnthouse on December 8, 1946 in Las Vegas, Nevada. They moved to California in 1949 and lived there until relocating to Bettendorf in 1955. They would then return to the Centerville area in 1972. She loved her cat Jasmine and playing cards with friends. Paula is survived by two children; Margo Lauritsen of Bettendorf, Iowa, Danny Barnthouse(Kathy) of Centerville, five grandchildren, four great grandchildren and her step-father John Studer(Martha) of Rock Island, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her husband Jack on April 11, 1982 and her mother Helen. Graveside service will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday at Zoar Cemetery in Exline. Visitation will be all day Wednesday with the family present from 6-8 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home.
