Paul Wright's Obituary
Paul Wright, age 87, of Centerville, Iowa passed away at his home on Sunday, August 1, 2004. He was born March 18, 1917, the son of John A. and Mary A. (Riggle) Wright of Cincinnati, Iowa. They have preceded him in death. He was married to Lanora Bozwell and they have three children: Janice Young and her husband Robert of Plano, Iowa; Susan Horton and her husband Gene of Quincy, Illinois; and Larry and his wife Karla of Woodbury, Minnesota. Paul was one of 11 children. He had five brothers: Rueben, Carl, John, Boyd and five sisters: Ora Walker, Ruth Patterson, Lola Patterson, Bertha Bauman and Mary Correll. All have preceded him in death, except for his sister Mary Correll of Centerville, Iowa. He is also survived by: 6 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; a sister-in-law and many nieces, nephews and their families.Paul graduated from Cincinnati High School with a Normal Training Certificate. He served in the Army during WWII and was stationed in Okinawa. He was foreman at the Hercules Plant in Centerville and later ran the Jones Dairy in Centerville. He moved to Florida for 32 years, returning to Centerville in 1996. He has lived at the Continental Hotel for the past 1 1/2 years.Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 6, 2004 at 11:00 am at the First Baptist Church in Centerville, Iowa with Rev. Lloyd Johnston officiating. Burial will follow at the Brushy Cemetery north of Plano, Iowa. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 5, 2004 from 1:00 pm til 8:00 pm at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville, Iowa.
