Paul Stajcar's Obituary
Paul ""Slim"" Stajcar, age 50 of Unionville, Iowa, died Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at his home of natural causes. He was born on April 7, 1963 in Des Moines, Iowa, the son of Frank and Helen (Hinton) Stajcar. Paul graduated from Moulton High School in 1981. He was employed by Waggoner's Honda for several years and later was an owner/partner at Teater Auto and Salvage. He married Jeana Henderson and later, Jenny Ruby. Paul enjoyed building corvettes and working on automobiles. He spent many hours volunteering at New Focus in Centerville. Most importantly, he loved spending time with family, especially his grandchildren. Paul also enjoyed golfing, cooking, riding his motorcycle and watching NASCAR. Paul will be remembered as the first to laugh with you as well as at you. He delighted all with his quick wit and biting humor. When anyone needed a helping hand Paul was there with tools and talent. Paul is survived by his son, Paul Michael Stajcar of Fort Benning, Georgia; his parents, Frank and Helen Stajcar of Udell, Iowa; four brothers, John Stajcar of Moulton, Iowa, Rodney (Trish) Stajcar of Conifer, Colorado, Dave Stajcar of Kansas City, and Blayne Wright of Udell, a sister, Tracy (John) Sogandares of Ames, Iowa; and his beloved cat, Ugly of Unionville. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Frank and Angela Stajcar and Bertha and Paul Hinton; and two aunts, Lillian and Mary Lou Hinton. Mass of Christian burial will be held 11 AM, Friday June 7, 2013 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Centerville with Father Bill Hubmann officiating. A visitation will be held on Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church from 9-11 AM. Burial will follow in the Oakland Cemetery, Centerville. Memorials have been established to either New Focus Inc. of Centerville or to Catholic Charities designated for the victims of the Oklahoma tornadoes.
