Paul LaPaglia Sr.'s Obituary
Paul LaPaglia, Sr., age 76, of Centerville, Iowa, died Thursday, April 8, 2004, at Centerville Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Centerville, Iowa. He was born the son of Peter and Santina (Metra) LaPaglia, Sr. on January 26, 1928. Paul attended Centerville Community Schools. Paul was united in marriage to Genevieve 'Ruth' LaPaglia on April 22, 1977 in Davenport, Iowa. After serving his country during the Korean War in the U.S. Navy, Paul was employed as a Foundry Worker in Fremont, Iowa. Paul was preceded in death by: his parents; his wife, Ruth on March 25, 2004; his brother, P. J. LaPaglia; his half-brother, Carl LaPaglia; his step-brother, John Chiovaro; and his half-sisters, Mary Manna and Marjorie Panteleo.He is survived by: sons, Paul, Jr. of Mount Pleasant, Iowa and Michael Joseph; brother, Joseph LaPaglia of Fontana, California; and sisters, Jennie Collins of Centerville, Iowa, Pauline Weishaar of Corydon, Iowa and Mary Hough of Blue Spring, Missouri. A private service will be held on Monday, April 12, 2004 at Schmidt Family Funeral Home, 501 North 18th Street, Centerville, Iowa, with Father Joe Miller, C.PP.S. officiating.
