Paul Junior Blair's Obituary
Paul Blair, age 86, of Cincinnati, Iowa, died Thursday, January 2, 2014 at his home in Cincinnati. He was born the son of John and Bessie (Moore) Blair on June 10, 1927 in Egypt, Iowa. He received his education in the Mystic Community Schools.On January 5, 1950, Paul was united in marriage to Katherine 'Katy' Blair in Altoona, Iowa. He served his country with United States Army from November of 1951 until his honorable discharge in August of 1953 for which he received many commendations. Paul worked for many years at the Ford Motor Company in Des Moines, Iowa and later Ford Implement also in Des Moines. He was a member of the Cincinnati United Methodist Church and the American Legion in Centerville, Iowa. He was preceded in death by: his parents; his wife, Katy Blair on June 19, 2004; son, Johnny Paul Blair; a grandson, Tomas Blair; sister, Louise Foster; brothers, Merle Blair, James Blair and Harold Blair.Paul is survived by: his sons, Steve Blair and his wife, Ollie of Adel, Iowa; Robert Blair and his wife, Mary of Shepard, Texas and Marty Blair and his wife, Debbie of Newton, Iowa; a sister, Pauline McNeff of Centerville, Iowa; eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.Memorial services will be held at 11 am, on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home with Rev. Joan Ervin officiating. Burial will be at the Highland Cemetery in Mystic, Iowa later. Visitation will be held from 9 am until the time of service on Tuesday.
