Patricia Colleen Wager's Obituary
Patricia Colleen Wager, 84 of Corydon, Iowa passed away April 29, 2024 at the Lucas County Health Center in Chariton, Iowa.
Patricia was born on March 14, 1940 in Centerville, Iowa, to Newt and Hannah Mae (Cunningham) Thomas. She graduated from Centerville High School. After high school she received her nursing degree from Indian Hills Community College.
Most of Pat's career was spent as a nurse at various care facilities around the Centerville and Corydon areas. She enjoyed helping and taking care of the residents.
Pat enjoyed spending time with her family, and cooking large holiday meals for them. She looked forward to visiting with family and really just anyone that stopped in to say hi. She loved watching her children's sporting events, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, watching the Iowa Hawkeyes, Los Angeles Dodgers, Minnesota Vikings and San Francisco 49ers.
Left to cherish Patricia's memory are her children; Linda Munden, Wendell (Debbie) Millizer, Steven (LeeAnn) Millizer; 32 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; step-children, Cindy Hegge, Deb Schroeder; brother, Larry (Evelyn) Thomas; sister, Shirley (Marvin) Swan and numerous extended family members.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jimmie Wager; son, George Munden; grand-daughter Kelsey Wishman; grandson, Gus Hegge; siblings, Wendell Thomas, Gene Thomas, LaVern Thomas, Lynn Thomas, Noah Thomas, Sandy Thomas, Irene Sales, Dorothy Chellas, Maxine Fenton and Frances Crow.
A graveside service will be held Friday, May 3, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Crossroads Cemetery in Plano, IA.
