Patricia B. Huffman Obituary's Obituary
Patricia B. Huffman, 92 of Drakesville passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at Davis County Hospital. Patricia was born on December 1, 1916 in Ashland, Iowa to Orville & Leala (Archer) Hemm. She married John Russell in 1935, they later divorced. She would then be united in marriage to Carl Huffman in 1965, he preceded her in death on May 7, 1998. Patricia enjoyed gardening, flowers, animals, cooking and time spent with her family. Patricia is survived by a son, Harold Russell(Sharon) of Drakesville, daughter, Barb Pauls(Duane) of Eldon, son, John Russell of Morgantown, Louisiana, step-daughter, Leanna Richardson of Bloomfield, step-daughter, Donna Marie Eblen of Osceola, eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren, six great great grandchildren and a brother Raymond L. Hemm of Keosaugua. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Carl Huffman, an infant brother, Adrian Hemm, two sisters, Ruth McVey and Erma M. Hemm. Funeral service will be 1:30 p.m., Monday, October 26, 2009 at Thomas Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. Kevin Gingrich officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, October 24th at Thomas Funeral Home from 1:00 - 7:00 p.m. with the family present from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Interment will be in Drakesville Cemetery immediately following the funeral service with Carrie Scott, Danny Lee Scott, Geri Ann Young, Larry Roland, Ross Pauls, Todd Wilcox present as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers memorials have been established to Hospice of Central Iowa which may be left at or mailed to Thomas Funeral Home -- 108 W. Poplar St. -- Bloomfield, Iowa 52537.
