Patrice Herndon's Obituary
Patrice Herndon age 58, of Centerville, Iowa died Monday, September 7, 2009 following an illness of several months at the Comfort House in Pella, Iowa. She was born the daughter of George and Ann (Trevisol) Herndon on November 25, 1950 in Centerville, Iowa. She graduated from Centerville High School in 1969 and furthered her education at Mount Mercy College, Indian Hills Community College, and Truman State University. Patrice was a 37 year employee of Curwood, Corp. in Centerville, Iowa. She was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church.She will be missed and remembered by her Curwood family for her sense of humor and her sweet disposition.She was preceded in death by her father.Patrice is survived by: her mother; Ann and her husband, Jim Irelan, of Centerville, Iowa; sister, Lynn and her husband, Charles Howard, of Oskaloosa, Iowa; nephews, C.J. Howard of West Des Moines, Iowa, and Brad Howard of Oskaloosa, Iowa.Mass of Resurrection will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2009 at 10:30 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Centerville, Iowa with Fr. Dennis Schaab, CPPS and Fr. Mike Volkmer officiating. Burial will follow at the Oakland Cemetery in Centerville. Public visitation will be held Friday, September 11, 2009 from 2-6 pm at the funeral home. Family will be present one hour before service at the church.Memorials can be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church or Oakland Cemetery and may be left at or mailed to the funeral home.
