Parma Lee Paul, age 58 of Centerville, Iowa passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at Mercy Medical Center in Centerville, Iowa.
She was born on Dec. 13, 1953 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital to Tony and Florence (Luftos) Paul of Mystic. Parma enjoyed laughing, eating out with family and friends, dancing and bowling. She also enjoyed shopping and participating in activities sponsored by New Focus Inc., where she had been a client since 1977.
She lived with her parents in Mystic until they passed away in 1979. She then lived with her grandmother Pauline Paul and uncle Frank Paul until 1991, when she moved to live with her guardians, Tony and Frances Paul of rural Mystic.
In 1992, she moved to the Zelpha Price House and later to the O'Bryant House in Centerville.
In 2010, she moved to the Centerville Nursing and Rehab Center.
Parma greatly enjoyed her jobs at Hardees and Rubbermaid. She had an infectious sense of humor, loved being around people, and touched many lives.
Parma was proceeded in death by her parents Tony and Florence Paul; grandmother Pauline Paul; uncle Frank Paul; aunts Jenny and Mary Paul; half-brothers John Rinehart, Russell Rinehart, Tony Ray Rinehart ; and half-sister Lucy Rinehart Snuggs.
Survivors include her guardians, Tony and Frances Paul, Mystic; and Alex and Debra Paul, Sweet Home, Ore.; half-brothers Stanley Rinehart (Sally), Raytown, Mo. ,and Bill (Carol) Vaca, Kansas City, Mo.
Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:30 AM, Saturday, November 24, 2012 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Centerville with Father Bill Hubmann officiating. A visitation will be held on Friday at Lange Funeral Home from 9AM-8 PM, with the family present from 6-8 PM. A rosary will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 6 PM. Burial will follow in the Elgin Cemetery, north of Mystic. A memorial has been established to New Focus Inc. and may be mailed to Lange Funeral Home and Crematory, 1900 S. 18th St., Centerville, Iowa, 52544. Pallbearers will be Mike Paul, Nick Paul, Tony Paul, Jeff Cunningham, Nate Lampe, and John Rinehart. Honorary Pallbearers will be Alex Paul and Frankie Belzer.
