Ora Ray Rinehart's Obituary
Ora Ray Rinehart, age 87, of Centerville, IA, died Tuesday, September 30, 2003, at Mercy Medical Center in Centerville, IA. He was born the son of Henry L. and Eva (Walker) Rinehart near Griffinsville, Iowa on October 13, 1915. He received his education in a Rural Appanoose Country School.On April 24, 1938, Ora was united in marriage to Elva Maxine Long in Unionville, MO. He farmed all of his life in the North Bend area of Appanoose County. He was a member for over 50 years in the Masons at the Walnut Lodge and a member of the Eastern Star both in Mystic, Iowa. He was on the ASCS Board for many years in Appanoose County and a member of the North Bend Christian Church. Ora also attended the Plano Christian Church in Plano, Iowa.He is survived by: his daughters, Cindy and her husband, Steve Sherrard of Centerville, IA and Joyce and her husband, James Thornton of Cedar Rapids, IA; son, Roger Rinehart of Whitehall, OH; brother, Eugene Rinehart of Anaheim, CA; sister, Marilyn Pister of Centerville, Iowa; mother-in-law, Lucile Long of Centerville, Iowa; 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.Ora was preceded in death by; his parents; wife, Maxine Rinehart on September 10, 1990; brother, Jamie Rinehart; and grandson, James Edward Pettibone.Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2003 at 11 am at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville, Iowa with Conrad Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at the Concord Cemetery northwest of Mystic, Iowa.Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3, 2003 from 1 pm till 8pm at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville.
