Norman McClurg's Obituary
Norman McClurg, age 51, of Moravia, Iowa passed away Thursday, July 14, 2011 at Monroe County Hospital in Albia, Iowa.
He was born May 4, 1960 at Hamburg, Iowa the son of Robert Gene McClurg and Margaret Jean Johnson McClurg. He was united in marriage to Tina J. Jones May 22, 1982 at the Rathbun Lake Dedication Site. Norman graduated from Moravia High School then received his AA degree from Indian Hills in both Computer Programming and Farm Mechanics. He was employed as an electrician at Menninga Electric, Pella, IA. He enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles, working on cars and collecting Allis Chalmers tractors. He attended the Solid Rock Church of God, Centerville.
He is survived by his wife Tina of Moravia, 3 children Robert Wayne McClurg of Moravia, Rachael Adele McClurg of Centerville, Ryan Perry McClurg of Moravia, his mother Margaret McClurg of Centerville, a sister Paula Jean Dalponte of Centerville.
He was preceded in death by his father Robert, and a brother Marty McClurg.
Funeral Services will be held 1PM Saturday, July 16, 2011 at the Lange Funeral Home, Moravia with Pastor Kristoher Watlett officiating. Visitation will be from 11AM Saturday morning until 1 PM Saturday at the Lange Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Moravia. A memorial has been established to the Norman McClurg Memorial Fund and may be left or mailed to Lange Funeral Home, 103 North John St., Moravia, Iowa 52571.
