Norman Dale Horn's Obituary
Norman Dale Horn, 86, of Moulton passed away Monday, October 23, 2017 at his home. Dale was born on January 4, 1931 to Lowell "Doc" & Geraldine (James) Horn. He received his education from Moulton High School graduating in 1948. Dale was a veteran of the United States Army Corps. Dale was united in marriage to his first wife Alice, they would later divorce. He would again be united in marriage to Marilyn Smith on June 10, 1987. He was previously a member of the Moulton Methodist Church. Dale enjoyed singing to his family and playing his trumpet. He loved black powder hunting and riding his motorcycle. Dale was a farmer until his health forced him into retirement. He would take a job Rubbermaid in Centerville and work there for 17 years until they closed their doors. Although he worked other jobs, Dale was a lifelong farmer at heart. He enjoyed reading, watching western movies and raising Herford cattle. Survivors include his wife, Marilyn, seven children: Norman Horn, Alice Lucas (James), John Horn (Stephanie), Dennis Horn (Shelia), Jay Horn, Barry Horn (Sheryl), James Driscoll Jr. (Crystal), 16 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, infant twin son, Roland Gale Horn and two brothers: Leon and James Horn. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Thomas Funeral Home in Moulton. Interment will immediately follow in Sunset View Cemetery.
