There are so many good memories of Norma and our families, there isn't room for them all here, only in my heart. It was always fun to visit with Norma, she had so much knowledge of my grandparents that I never knew. Brinkley's were not only good neighbors, but they were family. Carolyn and family, you are in my thoughts and prayers. I'm sure our parents are up there watching over us and are at peace. I will miss you April Fool. I am so sorry to hear that Norma passed. She and your dad were so generous with their time and the Brinkley family photos when I traveled there from Oregon. We spent hours visiting, and your parents took us on a driving tour of the Brinkley family... places they lived, and the cemeteries they are buried in. They were a treasure. Your mom and I kept in touch all these years since. I'm sorry for your loss but I'm sure they're glad to be back together. I don't have the long history with Norma that some do....but she was one of the most welcoming and positive people I have had the joy of knowing. I always walked away from a conversation with her, just feeling better about the day. She was so very proud of her family, and I would suggest her example of unconditional love, encouragement and wisdom helped shape each one of them in special ways.....Please know family that you are in my thoughts and prayers.
