Nora Jean Duke-Cincotta's Obituary
Nora Jean "Jeanie" Duke-Cincotta age 73, of Moulton, Iowa passed away Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at MercyOne in Centerville, Iowa.
Jeanie was born on November 24, 1949, the daughter of William Heywood Sr. and Faye Heywood. She married Robert Massey, and to this union, a daughter, Rebecca was born. She then married Lee Duke, and to this union, a son, Walter was born. On Oct. 13, 1989, Jeanie was united in marriage to Peter Cincotta in California.
While living in California, Jeanie worked as a State Instructor, teaching people how to drive school buses. In 1993, Peter and Jeanie moved to Iowa, where she opened a ceramic store called "Memorials". In 1995, she opened a restaurant called "Summer's Place" and operated the business until retirement. In her free time, she enjoyed reading books, crocheting and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Left to cherish Jeanie's memory are her children, Rebecca (Nick) Mirkovich and Walter Duke; her grandchildren, Haylye Enloe, Dakota Caldwell, Eric Wheeles, Riley (Caleb) McGoldrick, Breanna Meredith, Sierra Duke, Dodge Duke, Daisy Duke, Emberlyn Leiting, Sumer (Chris) Genovese and Chad Mirkovich; her great grandchildren, Madelynn McGoldrick, Brooklyn Genovese and Kinsley Genovese; her brother Billy (Brenda) Heywood; as well as several extended family and friends.
Jeanie was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Cincotta; and her parents, Faye and William Heywood Sr..
Per Nora's wishes a cremation has been accorded and there will be no service at this time.
