Nellie Marie Lovison's Obituary
Nellie B. Lovison, age 89, of Centerville, Iowa, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 16, 2014, at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa. She was born the daughter of John and Bessie (Gray) Jackson on February 4, 1925 in Downing, Missouri. She attended school in Downing, Missouri and in Centerville, IowaOn June 30, 1956, Nellie was united in marriage to Raymond Lovison in Mystic, Iowa. She was employed as an LPN at the St. Joseph's Hospital in Centerville where she worked for over 14 years. Nellie was a wonderful, loving and caring mother and devoted her life to her family. Always had a kind smile and a thoughtful word for everyone she met. The most fulfillment she received out of life, was what she could do for others. She was member of the First Baptist Church in Centerville and loved her church family. She looked forward to attending weekly services until her health would not permit her to do so.She was preceded in death by: her parents; a brother, Russell Jackson; sisters, Viola Collier and Mary Holbrook.Nellie is survived by: her husband, Raymond Lovison of Centerville, Iowa; sons, Roger and Michael Lovison, also of Centerville, Iowa; a brother, Glen Jackson of Centerville, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews.Funeral service will be held at 11 am, Monday, July 21, 2014 at the First Baptist Church in Centerville with Rev. Lloyd Johnston officiating. Burial will follow at the Downing Cemetery in Downing, Missouri. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 20, 2014 from 2 pm until 8 pm with the family present from 6 pm until 8 pm at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville. Memorials can be made to the First Baptist Church in Centerville or to her family and can be left or mailed to the funeral home.
