Nellie Brockus' Obituary
Nellie Brockus, 75 of Centerville died Sunday, July 3, 2005 at Mercy Medical Center in Centerville.
Nellie was born November 20, 1929 to Wyatt Issac and Cora Mae(Conroe) Johnson in Pitcher, Oklahoma. She attended Joplin Public Schools in Joplin, Missouri. Nellie was united in marriage to Marvin F. Brockus Sr. in Bentonville, Arkansas on October 19, 1949.
Nellie is survived by four children; Ronald Brockus of Galt, Missouri, Richard Brockus of Centerville, Randy Brockus of Centerville, Mary Boggs of Allerton, 14 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Marvin F. Brockus Sr., son, Marvin F. Brockus Jr., eight brothers; Harold, Wayne, Fred,Virgil,Cecil,Wyatt(Curly), Don, and Raymond Johnson, sister, Ethel Sparlin and an infant sister Edith Johnson.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday July 7, 2005 at Thomas Lange Funeral Home in Centerville with Pastor Lloyd Johnston officiating. Visitation will be held all day Wednesday with the family present from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sunsetview Cemetery in Moulton. A memorial has been established to the family which may be left at or mailed to Thomas Lange Funeral Home 1900 S. 18th St. Centerville, Iowa 52544.
