Neal R. Wagner's Obituary
Neal Russell Wagner, 88 of Centerville, passed away January 2, 2009 at Mercy Medical Center, Centerville. Neal was born at Unionville, Iowa November 16, 1920 to Ellis and Edna (Anderson) Wagner. He graduated from Udell School in 1938. On February 11, 1942 Neal was united in marriage to Betty Byers at Unionville. To this union four children were born: Raymond (Linda) Ottumwa, IA, Jack (Sheryl) of Centerville, IA, Pamela (Ron)of Chariton, IA and Randy of Centerville, IA. Neal was a farmer and car salesman and was involved in politics and farmer's unions. He was a kind and loving father and grandfather. Surviving Neal in addition to his children are brothers Arnold (Helen) Wagner of Fenton, MO and Dean (Opal) Wagner of Campbell, CA, nine grandchildren and one great grandchild; many nephews, nieces and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, infant brother Reginald and sisters Lesta Whicker and Meda Powell. No services are planned at this time. Neal was cremated per his wishes. Lange Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. A celebration of Neal's life will be held and announced at a later date. Memorials may be mailed to Lange Funeral Home and directed to the Centerville Nazarene Church or Fairview Church of the Brethren, Unionville, Iowa.
