Naomi Horstman's Obituary
Naomi Grace Horstman, 76 of Centerville died Wednesday September 8, 2004 at Golden Age Care Center. She was born June 30, 1928 near Blunt, South Dakota the daughter of Robert Emmett and Mary Ellen (Lewis) McVeigh. Naomi married Richard Fredrick Horstman on January 22, 1949 in Centerville. Naomi is survived by one daughter Janet Brown and her husband Rick of Seymour, grandchildren Nathan and Kelsey Brown, brother Frank McVeigh and his wife Twyla of Mystic, sisters-in-law Viola Russell of Des Moines, Claris McVeigh of Rockford, Illinois, several neices and nephews. Naomi was preceded in death by her husband Richard, parents, brothers; Bob, Harry and John McVeigh. Naomi graduated from Centerville High School with the of 1947. She worked at the Red Cross Drug Store, ISU, Mode'day and Verl's Hat Shop. She was a member of People's Baptist Church. Naomi enjoyed spending time with family especially her 2 grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 10 AM Saturday morning at Thomas Lange Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Elgin officiating. Burial will be at Hanes Cemetery. Friends may call all day Friday, there will be no family visitation. A memorial has been established to The American Kidney Foundation which can be left at or mailed to Thomas Lange Funeral Home 1900 S. 18th St. Centerville, Ia 52544.
