Nadine Thomasson Obituary's Obituary
Vera Nadine Thomasson, 76 of Centerville passed away Sunday, January 9, 2011 at her home in Centerville. Nadine was born to Thomas and Alta (Evans) Reynolds on January 12, 1934 in Nebraska City, Nebraska. She received her education from Seymour Schools. After graduating she worked at Hy-Vee on the Centerville square. Nadine married Elvin Thomasson on May 3, 1952. They lived and farmed southeast of Cincinnati until 1998 when they moved to Centerville. Nadine stayed busy at home raising her children and helping Elvin with the chores on their farm. She enjoyed crocheting, working in the garden and canning produce. Elvin and Nadine enjoyed square dancing for many years. Nadine was a member of Chapter CI, P.E.O., past 4-H leader, former member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Mercy Medical Center Auxiliary and a Mary Kay representative for many years. Nadine is survived by her husband of 58 years Elvin of Centerville, daughter Diana Hudson(Ron) of Centerville, grandson Scott Hudson (Kristi) of Hoopeston, Illinois, great grandsons Sam and Sean of Hoopeston, Illinois, brother, George Reynolds (Lois) of Centerville, two step-grandchildren, four step-great grandchildren and two step-great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, son Edward in July 1973 and a brother Norman. Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 13, 2011 at Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Kay Singley officiating. Visitation will be all day Wednesday with the family present from 6-8 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home. Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
