Myra Leaun White's Obituary
Myra Leaun White, age 90, of Centerville, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at Centerville Specialty Care.
Myra was born on June 9, 1935, in Centerville, the daughter of Frank and Naomi "Peggy" (Jones) Roach. She graduated from Centerville High School with the Class of 1953. Myra was united in marriage to the love of her life, Dale White, and together they built a life centered around farming, family, and quiet generosity. They were blessed with two children: Jeff and Jan.
Myra embraced life as a farm wife and was happiest when working alongside Dale in the daily rhythm of farm life. Their home and garden were often overflowing, not just with produce, but with kindness-she and Dale were known for sharing their extra garden vegetables with friends, neighbors, and anyone in need of a little extra.
In her free time, Myra enjoyed simple pleasures that brought people together. She loved golfing, playing cards, and a good game of pool, often enjoying the company and laughter that came with each.
Those left to cherish Myra's memory are her devoted husband, Dale White; her children, Jeff White (Julie Eagen) and Jan (Russell) Murphy; her grandchildren, Jason (Lacey) White, Cheryl (Zach) Finch, Ed Duea (Vanessa), Brooke Duea (Lane) and Brooke's new baby, Lennyn; six great grandchildren; as well as numerous extended family members and friends.
Myra was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Peggy Roach; and her sister, Sydney Jennings.
Per wishes, cremation has been accorded. There will be no services at this time. Condolences may be shared online at https://www.thomasfh.com or https://www.facebook.com/thomasfuneralhome .
