June LaMere Davis, daughter of Owen Price and Ora Alice (Putnam) Roberts, was born on June 20, 1921 in Putnam County, Missouri and passed away at the Wayne County Hospital on July 7, 2011. She had just celebrated her 90th birthday. LaMere attended and graduated from school at Powersville, Missouri. She married her high school sweetheart, Clifford H. Davis, on December 6, 1942. They were the parents of six children, Gary Wayne, Clifford Garth, Lyle Duane, Connie Sue, James Craig, and Robert (Bobby) Owen. LaMere and Clifford farmed all of their lives in Wayne County on their farm south of Allerton. She was a homemaker, she loved cooking for her family, gardening, picking wild blackberries, refunding and making many beautiful quilts. She gave each of her children and grandchildren quilts for birthdays and holidays. LaMere was preceded in death by her husband Clifford, sons Gary and Duane, her mother, father, sisters Wilma, Aldine, Lucille, Mary, and Opal, brother Kenneth, brothers-in-law Floyd Gill, Paul Ellis, J Dugan, Clark Nole, Eldon, Raymond, Clinton, Orville and Don Davis and sisters-in-law Ruby, Bernita, and Charlotte Davis and Avis Roberts. She is survived by her sons Garth (Ronda), J. C. (Teresa), and Bobby (Connie), daughter Connie (Bob) Workman, and daughters-in-law Judie Klavon and Becky Davis. Other survivors include her grandchildren Jeff, Brian, Diana, Sheryll, Sheila, Mathew, Jason, Alicia, Tim, Angela, James, Kassandra, Levi and Zachary and 24 great grandchildren, sister-in-law Pat Davis `and nieces, nephews, and a host of family and friends. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be sadly missed by all her family and friends.
