Mildred Lucille Stober's Obituary
Mildred Lucille Stober, age 90, of Centerville, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at MercyOne Medical Center, Centerville.
Mildred was born on July 25, 1929 in Davis County, Iowa, the daughter of Herbert and Pearl (Ayer) Arnold. She was united in marriage to Max Stober on January 19, 1947 in Davis County, Iowa. The couple lived in Centerville throughout their marriage and raised two children, Linda and Terry. Max passed away on August 14, 1993.
Mildred was a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening and canning. She loved spending time with her grandsons and great grandchildren.
Left to cherish Mildreds memory are her children, Linda Stober and Terry Stober, both of Centerville; two grandsons, Ryan (Veronica) Stober of Centerville, and Bruce (Erin) Stober of Indianola, Iowa; four great grandchildren, Ian, Ava, Oliver, and Truman; a step sister, Fern Mitchell; and a step brother, Eddie Jones.
Mildred was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a sister, Darlene (Wayne) Warning; a brother, Eugene Arnold; her step mother, Pearl Arnold; her step father, Paul Douglas; a step sister, Ruby Cormeny; two step brothers, Glen and Dale Jones; mother in law, Lossie Stober; father in law, Fred Stober; and sister-in-law, Doris (Francis) Davis.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00AM, Friday, August 9, 2019 at Lange Funeral Home and Crematory in Centerville with Pastor Ken Mehrhoff officiating. Burial will follow the service at Oakland Cemetery in Centerville. A Visitation will take place Friday, August 9, 2019, with the family greeting friends from 9:00AM-10:00AM. Memorials have been established to the Centerville High School Band, and may be dropped off or mailed to Lange Funeral Home, 1900 South 18th Street, Centerville, Iowa 52544.
