Mildred F. Scott's Obituary
Mildred F. (Baker) Scott, age 97, of Centerville, Iowa passed Friday, September 16, 2011 at the Golden Age Skilled and Nursing Center in Centerville.
She was born on September 14, 1914 in Leon, Iowa, the daughter of William and Katherine Baker. Mildred married Manford (Mike) Scott on August 14, 1937 in Leon.
Mildred was a wife, mother and homemaker. She was employed as a nurse's aide at St. Joseph's Hospital for many years. Mildred was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and enjoyed attending mass when she was able. She cleaned her son's hair styling shop into her 90's.
She is survived by her son, Mickey Scott of Centerville, Iowa and a daughter, Mary Lee Minnehan of Webster City, Iowa; five grandchildren, Dana Miller and her husband John of Jordon, Minnesota, Stacy Scott Hall and her husband Peter of Sperryville, Virginia, Justin Wray and his wife Corrie of Centerville, Iowa, Scott Kauzlarich and his wife Damizelle of Iowa Falls, Iowa, and Anna Marie Scott of Centerville, Iowa; eight great grandchildren; and five step-great grandchildren.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and ten siblings.
