Mildred Greene's Obituary
Mildred Marcelee Casey was born on December 14, 1924 to Emmet Casey and Bertie (Elson) Casey in Wayne County, Iowa. She departed this life on October 9, 2012 at the Mercy Hospice in Johnston, Iowa. Marcelee grew up in Wayne County, graduating from Lineville High School. As a young woman she moved to Des Moines and married Gaither Greene, Jr. in 1948. To this union two sons were born, Bruce (now deceased) and Mark of Humeston, Iowa. The family lived in Iowa and other states with Marcelee, Gaither and Mark moving to Humeston several years ago. Marcelee attended the First Baptist Church in Humeston and her faith was very important to her over the years. She was a kind caring person who will be greatly missed by her son Mark, her granddaughter Caitlin of California, several nieces and nephews, two sisters-in-law and their husbands and many friends and neighbors. Marcelee was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, one brother, her husband Gaither in 1994, and her son Bruce.
