Over the years, I have shared a lot of laughs with Millie and she was a special cousin. She was a niece of my Grandfater, Wade Pauley, and she and John spent a lot of time at my Grandparents home in Newtown. After my Grandfather passed away, Milliie and my Grandmother, Cora, remained friends and took several trips together. On one trip, they visited me in Colorado Springs and we had such a good time. Millie will be missed, but she is in good company with those who have gone before her. My thoughts and prayers are with Millie's family. Millie lived in our nursing home several years. I will think of Millie being full of spunk and in her younger years I bet she was quite the daredevil. She told me about her love of motorcycles. She enjoyed camping and going on adventures. Millie grew especially close to several of my staff and they became attached to her. I believe she came to know about their personal lives and am sure she offered advise and encouragement to them. Several made sure she never ran out of Honey Buns We were amazed at Millie and her ability to fight back from medical complications. On behalf of all of our employees, I wish to extend our heartfelt condolences along with our apologies that we were not able to attend her services. IWe will miss Millie Davis very much! I seen Millie as a hospice volunteer, she was a very nice lady. My first visit I asked if she went by Mildred or Marie, she said My name is Millie. Mildred was a very good Friend and Family member to my Mother and Dad Carmen and Lucille Cline- Mallett. John, Mildred's Husband, was a Cousin to Lucille. My folks Mildred and Johnny were very close when our Family lived in Centerville in the Late 1940's. Dad owned the DEW DROP INN Cafe on the Levee. Mildred was so Loving and such Fun to be around. We sent Christmas Cards every year, for the past 30 years. I wondered why I didn't get a card this year. I will miss that contact with her. Bless her and all of you. We send our heartfelt condolences. She may be gone, but will never be forgotten by those who knew and loved her. Rest in Peace Dear one.
