Mildred Cobb's Obituary
Mildred Cobb, 98, of Corydon passed away on March 7, 2018 at Corydon Specialty Care. Mildred was born to John and Ruby (Couchman) Hart on September 5, 1919. She attended schools in Wayne County and graduated from Allerton High School. Mildred was united in marriage to Theodore Cobb on November 17, 1938 and to this union 6 children were born. Mildred was a die hard Hawkeye fan and enjoyed watching sports of any kind on TV. She loved time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mildred enjoyed fishing and going to country music jams. Some of her most favorite times were spent playing scrabble, playing cards, and playing games of any kind with her family. Mildred is survived by her daughters; Sandra Brown, Sharon Dunn (James), Janis Thatcher (Steve), Gayle Wasson (Bobby), sister Marjorie Sheehan, 28 grandchildren, 55 great grandchildren, 12 great-great grandchildren and numerous other extended family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Theodore, sons Howard and Larry and son-in-law Ellis Brown. Funeral service will be held on Monday, March 12, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Corydon. Interment will immediately follow service at the Corydon Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, March 11, 2018 from 2-4 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Corydon. Memorials may be given to LeCompte Memorial Library and condolences may be shared at www.thomasfh.com.
