Mickey Irving's Obituary
Mickey Thomas-Irving, age 73 died at home in Centerville, Monday evening, October 27, 2008.
Mickey Thomas-Irving was born the daughter of Edgar A. and Lenore Bell Huffstutter (Wright) on March 22, 1935. She married Richard Lee Irving Sr. on May 6, 2000 in Centerville, Iowa. Mickey grew up in Mystic, IA and graduated from Centerville High School. She loved to sing, read, cook and be with her family. Mickey read her Bible and loved her daily walk with Christ. She was a member of the Heritage Wesleyan Church in Rock Island, IL. Mickey was a monthly partner with Joyce Meyer Ministries.
Mickey is survived by her husband Richard Irving Sr. of Centerville, three daughters, Trav (Jim) Fecht of Milan, IL, Jamie (Mark) Adams of West Des Moines and Gina (Shell) (Rob) Starr of Rio, IL ; five step-children; Michel (Curtis) Graham of Swisher, IA, Cheryl (Chad) Miller of Moravia, IA, Richard Jr. (Megan) Irving of Moravia, Brandon (Tasha) Irving of Moravia and Bobbi Jo Robb of Tucson, AZ; seven grandchildren, Dustin (Natalie) Fecht, Mitch (Kristin) Fecht, Janelle Mason, Craig Hulse, Jordan Hulse, Alex Starr and Carli Starr; seven step-grandchildren; Zachary Ian Graham, Mathew Miller, Erica Miller, Jacob Irving, Jadyn Robb, Elyssa Robb and Quentin Robb; two brothers; Lloyd Wright of Colorado Springs and Calvin (Myra) Wright of Moline, IL; and her best friends Johnny and Phyllis Masserollo of East Moline, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, a sister and a son, Michael.
Celebration of life services will be held at 7 PM Thursday, October 30, 2008 at the Thomas Lange Funeral Home, Centerville with Pastor Terry Chapman officiating. Reception will follow. Anatomical donation to the University of Iowa was accorded. A memorial has been established and may be left at or mailed to the Thomas Lange Funeral Home, 1900 S. 18th St., Centerville, Iowa 52544.
