Micheline Belloma's Obituary
Micheline Belloma age 87, passed away December 29, 2012 at her home with her husband and children at her side.
Micheline was born September 28, 1925 to Emile and Mary Haag in Nancy, France. At the early age of 14 Micheline started ballet lessons, by the age of 18 she was a professional ballerina and toured with the USO during the war all over Europe. She met her husband Joe during World War II in 1944.
Micheline came to the United States in 1947 and married Joe June 28, 1947. Micheline was a homemaker and raised their 6 children. She enjoyed gardening her flowers, bowling when she was younger and going to football and basketball games to watch her children and grandchildren play. She also enjoyed collecting dolls and pottery. She enjoyed visiting with her friends at the F.O.E.
Michelines family always came first in her life. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandma. She taught French for a short time at St. Mary's School in Centerville. She was baptized catholic when she was a baby.
Micheline and Joe traveled back to France 3 times to visit with her family.
Micheline is survived by her husband Joe, daughters Mary (Larry) Shondel, Nancy (Steve) Ruby, both of Centerville, sons Frank (Diane) Belloma, Jack Belloma, and Tom (Donna) Belloma all of Centerville, and Jim (Sharon) Belloma of DesMoines, 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren, her brother Emile and nephews and nieces of Nancy, France.
She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter-in-law Linda Belloma,
Funeral services will be held 10:30AM Thursday January 3, 2013 at Lange Funeral Home & Crematory, Centerville with Fr. Bill Hubman officiating. Friends may call all day Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at the Lange Funeral Home & Crematory with the family present at the funeral home between 6-8 PM.. A Prayer Service will be held at 7PM Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery, Centerville. A memorial has been established to St. Mary's Catholic Church and may be left or mailed to the Lange Funeral Home & Crematory, 1900 South 18th St., Centerville, Iowa 52544.
