Michael David Jones' Obituary
Michael David Jones, age 58 of Mystic, Iowa passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.
Michael was born to E.C. and Patricia (Tuszynski) Jones on February 6, 1959 in La Porte Indiana. He received his GED through Indian Hills Community College Centerville, Ia. Michael was united in Marriage to Lisa (Surber) on February 6, 2007. To this union one child was born.
Michael worked at various jobs; his favorites were with Bob Sidles at Sidles Top Crop and at Iowa Steel and Wire in Centerville. Michael loved spending time with his family, fishing with his son, E.C., and participating in the Mystic Halloween Party as Beetlejuice. Michael will be missed by many family and friends.
Michael is survived by his wife, Lisa (Surber) Jones of Mystic; four childrentwo sons from a previous marriage, Greg Jones of Bradford, Arkansas, Matt (Chrissy) Jones of Davenport, Iowa, one daughter from a previous union, Michaela (Skylar) Stokes of Clarinda, Iowa, and E.C. Jones still living at home; three step children, Jessica (Jason) Hardin of Centerville, Iowa, Kady (Mike) Sarver of Mystic, Iowa, and Andy (Tori) Rinehart of Centerville, Iowa; fifteen Grandchildren; three siblings, Cliff (Martha) Jones, Ann (Greg) Howe, and Toni (Roger) Surber, all of Mystic, Iowa. There are many other family considered siblings, including John and Frank Hutchinson.
Michael was preceded in death by his Parents and his Brother Ted.
Funeral Services will be held at 11AM Friday, May 26, 2017 at Lange Funeral Home and Crematory in Centerville with Pastor Brian Hargrave officiating. A visitation will take place from 10-11AM Friday, May 26, 2017 at Lange Funeral Home and Crematory in Centerville. Burial will follow the service at the Highland Cemetery in Mystic, Iowa. Memorials have been established to the family of Michael David Jones, and may be mailed to Lange Funeral Home and Crematory, 1900 South 18th Street, Centerville, Iowa 52544.
