Mialo Emmack's Obituary
Mialo Emmack, 78 of Powersville, Missouri passed away Sunday, October 11, 2015 at Corydon Nursing & Rehab Center. Mialo was born to Chester & Roxie (Wells) Emmack on July 13, 1937 in Powersville, Missouri. He received his education from Putnam County Schools graduating in 1955. Mialo was a veteran of the United States Army Corps. Mialo continued his education in Des Moines where he attended Barber School. He worked in Des Moines and Ames for a time until moving back to Allerton where he opened a barber shop. Not to long after; he opened his shop in Corydon (Mialo's Golden Style) where he would work for 51 years until his retirement in 2008 due to health reasons. Mialo was a member of the Clio Baptist Church for many years. He served as the Sunday School Superintendent, deacon and also played the organ. He enjoyed time with his family and friends and also enjoyed reminiscing about the "good times". Survivors include his wife Daisy of Powersville, MO., two step children: Tonia Nickell (Mike) of Allerton, Roger Rion of Powersville, MO., four step grandchildren: Melissa Abel (Garrett) of Allerton, Laura Brown (Aaron) of Allerton, Amber Nickell of Allerton, Chase Rion of Mercer, MO., five step great grandchildren: Carter, Lincoln, Oliver, Lynden and Eleanor. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorial service will be 11:00 am, Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at Clio Baptist Church with Pastor Joshua Appel officiating. A private family interment will take place at Wyreka Cemetery near Powersville, Missouri.
