We've had the pleasure of knowing Merve through sharing a back yard with him and speaking with him on many occasions when he was mowing his lawn. He was always so friendly & had a smile on his face & he always waved at us every time he drove by . We are saddened to hear of his passing. Our thoughts and prayers go.out to Marie and the rest of his family. May you RIP.
I was so sorry to hear this news. Merv was a kind and giving man. He was so good to help out my dad many, many times. Marie and family please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.
When we moved to Moravia in 1983, a man came walking across the yard, introduced himself and asked can I give you a hand moving in He helped us move in and we became great neighbors and I found a great friend. When they went to Florida in the late fall, he would drop by the office hand me the key to his home and ask would you check on it for us Always checked once or twice a week making sure the furnace was on and no water leaks. For the past several years he would stop by the office two or three times a week and we'd chat and have some good laughs. I'll miss those visits, I already do. He was still extremely sharp at 96. Always admired Mervin as a business man and successful inverstor. Always considered Merv a friend and also served on Moravia City Council with him. He will certainly be missed by me and many others. Rest in peace Merv.
