Melissa 'Missy' Marlar, age 40, of Centerville, Iowa died Saturday, August 1, 2009 at her home in Centerville. She was born on June 25, 1969 in Moline, Illinois. Melissa graduated in 1987 from Centerville High School in Centerville, Iowa. She worked for the Mercy Medical Center in Centerville as an EMT, and later became a Home Health Care Aid to help take care of her sister.She was preceded in death by: James and Carolyn Scott, William and Helen Ervin, and Joshua and Adam Cain.Melissa is survived by: her mother; Glenetta and her husband Ward Campbell of Jacksonville, Florida, sisters; Martha Scott of Centerville, Iowa, and Patricia and her husband, Wesley Taqami of Wahia Pa, Hawaii; and her fiance', Ron Collins of Centerville, Iowa.Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 7, 2009 at 11:00 am at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville, Iowa with Rev. David Welsh officiating. Burial will follow at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Cincinnati, Iowa. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 7, 2009, from 9:00 am till time of service at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville.Memorials can be made to the family and mailed to or left at the funeral home.
