Maxine M. Robbins' Obituary
Mildred Maxine Robbins, age 90 of Rockford, Illinois died Saturday, July 7, 2007 at the Rosewood Care Center in Rockford.
Maxine, the daughter of Henry and Daisy (Ervin) Besse was born in Cincinnati, Iowa on December 19, 1916. On December 29, 1931 she was united in marriage to Albert Robbins. To this union nine children was born. She attended the Cincinnati Community Church.
She is survived by her children, Alberta (Leo) Clinkenbeard of Belvidere, Illinois, Dixie (Joe) Arnold of Henderson, Tennessee, Jack Robbins of Iowa, Louisiana, Mavis (Dean) Hochhaus of Mesa, Arizona, Sherry (Tom) Blade of Rockford, Illinois and Dick (Fran) Robbins of Rockford, Illinois; a daughter in law, Ruby Robbins of Webester, Texas; a brother, Glenn(Leolla) Besse of Cincinnati, Iowa; twenty-nine grandchildren; eighty-three great grandchildren; and thirty-eight great-great grandchildren. There is 191 living in her immediate family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Albert; daughters Norma Robbins and Karen Robbins; a son, Jimmy Robbins; two daughter in laws; six grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; two sisters, Ivy Cassidy and Mattie Walker; brothers, Ira and Pete Besse and Raymond Cassidy; four half brothers and two half sisters.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM Thursday, July 12, 2007 at the Thomas Lange Funeral Home, Centerville with Pastor Donnel Logsdon. Burial will follow at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Cincinnati, Iowa. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service. A memorial has been established to the Ogle County Hospice and may be mailed to 421 Pine Road, Oregon, Illinois, 61061.
