Maxine Peel's Obituary
Maxine Peel, age 77 of Moravia, Iowa passed away Friday, May 4, 2012 at her home.
Maxine was born May 24, 1934 in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of William Lester and Fanchen (Kingery) Millemon.
Maxine was preceeded in death by her parents William Lester and Rosa Fanchen (Kingery) Millemon, and sisters Sylvia Zabola, Mary Berry, Eldora Bates and Twyla Hill and brothers Oliver and Robert Millemon.
Maxine is survived by children William (Sandy) Johnson of Nixa, Missouri, Viola Christine Brownlee of Ottumwa, Iowa, Sandy (Elliotte) Lancaster Sr. of Moravia, Iowa, Billie Sue (Charles) Downen Kirksville, Missouri, Joseph (Noreen) Wright Muscatine, Iowa and Genny Wright Moravia, Iowa; sisters Lillian Douglas of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Alice Smith and Daisy Ridgway both of Moravia, Iowa, and brother William Millemon Moravia, Iowa; grand children Elliotte Lancaster Jr. of Plano, Iowa, Heather Lancaster of Johnston, Iowa, C.J. and Joey Downen of Kirksville, Missouri, Tara Drennan and Traci Hestand of Texas, Kari Ross of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Dallas Johnson of Norwalk, Iowa, Amber Harding of Ottumwa, Iowa; great grand children Kayley Rose, Keith, Ellie and Taylor. Graveside services will be held 10:30AM Tuesday at the Morans Cemetery (Old Cemetery), in Moravia with Pastor Terry Chapman officiating. Friends may call all day Monday at the Lange Funeral Home and Crematory in Moravia, with the family present from 6-8 PM. A memorial has been established to the Rainbow House, Omaha, NE. The Rainbow house provides overnight accommodations to the parents and family members of children receiving treatment at Children's Hospital. Condolences may be left at www.langefh.com
