MAXINE LACEY GILSON Maxine Lacey Gilson was born to Allie and Mabel Lacey on April 20, 1921 and left this world on July 14, 2010 at the Mercy Hospital in Des Moines at the age of 89 years, 2 months and 24 days. She married Robert Gilson on February 16, 1936. Ten years later they were blessed with a son, Ronnie. Maxine loved to play bingo, mow, and plant flowers. The joy of her life was her three grandchildren: April, Chris and Dusty Gilson. She also had two adorable great granddaughters: Zada Rain and Destiny Lea. Preceding Maxine in death were her parents Allie and Mabel Lacey, brothers Doyle and Victor Lacey and sister Cloe, sisters-in-law Travia Lacey, and Alice Lacey and brother-in-law Harold McElfish. Maxine is survived by her husband Robert Gilson of 75 years, son Ronnie, daughter-in-law Melodie, grandchildren April, Chris and Dusty Gilson, great granddaughters Zada and Destiny, sister Ilene McElfish, and brother Eugene Lacey.
